DuckTracks is committed to the safety and protection of all users, especially children. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any form of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) on our platform.
Our position is clear: Any content or behavior that exploits or endangers children will result in immediate action, including permanent account removal and referral to law enforcement authorities.
1. Age Requirements
DuckTracks is designed for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts. If we become aware that a user is under 13, we will promptly disable their account and delete their data in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other applicable laws.
Where app stores provide them, we use age-range signals (such as the Google Play Age Signals API and Apple's Declared Age Range API) to help confirm that users meet this minimum age requirement and to apply age-appropriate protections. These signals provide a general age range only and are used solely for eligibility and safety, never for advertising.
2. Prohibited Content and Conduct
The following are strictly prohibited on DuckTracks:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including images, videos, illustrations, or written content
- Sexualized content involving minors in any form
- Grooming behavior or attempts to establish inappropriate contact with minors
- Solicitation of minors for sexual purposes or exploitation
- Sharing or requesting personal information of minors for exploitative purposes
- Content that normalizes, promotes, or trivializes the abuse or exploitation of children
- Sextortion or blackmail involving minors
3. Detection and Prevention
DuckTracks employs the following measures to detect and prevent CSAE on our platform:
- Content moderation: All user-generated content (photos, posts, comments, messages) is subject to review through our moderation systems
- User reporting: Every piece of content in the app has a report option accessible via the three-dot menu or long-press. Users can report suspected CSAE directly to our moderation team
- Account blocking: Users can immediately block any account that makes them feel unsafe
- Moderation team: Reports are reviewed by our moderation team, with CSAE-related reports treated as highest priority
4. Reporting and Response
How to Report
- In the app: Tap the three-dot menu (...) on any post, comment, photo, or user profile and select "Report." Select the appropriate reason for the report.
- By email: Send details to support@ducktracks.com with the subject line "Child Safety Report."
Our Response Process
- Immediate action: Upon receiving a CSAE report, the reported content is immediately removed and the reported account is suspended pending investigation
- Investigation: Our moderation team reviews the report and all associated account activity
- Law enforcement referral: Confirmed or suspected CSAM is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via their CyberTipline, as required by U.S. federal law (18 U.S.C. 2258A). We cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations
- Account removal: Accounts confirmed to have violated these standards are permanently banned with no option for appeal
- Evidence preservation: Relevant data is preserved as required by law to support investigations
5. Enforcement
Violations of these child safety standards result in the following actions:
- Immediate content removal of any offending material
- Immediate and permanent account ban with no appeal
- Mandatory reporting to NCMEC and applicable law enforcement agencies
- Full cooperation with law enforcement investigations, including disclosure of account information as permitted or required by law
